COURT HOUSE NOTES.

       The grand jury returned 14 bills the first week.  Six were for murder; two for criminal assault three for assault with intent to murder; one for theft of hog; and two burglars.

       There are twelve prisoners in jail.

       The motion to dissolve the injunction case of Weld & Nevel was granted.

       The First National Bank got judgement against J D Copeland by default.

*

       A few cases for damages against the I & G N have been disposed of.
