County School Notes.

    The attendance since the holidays has increased wonderfully.  Nearly all the country schools ate now crowded.

    W. A. Holland, chairman of the county institute has appointed R. O. Fields, W. J. Green and Miss Maggie Hodges as a program committee for the next institute.

    T. W. Thomas has present at New Salem thirty-one.  He has a nicely working room and made some nice recitations in arithmetic.

    Dewy had present with Miss Maude Stuart twenty.  The room was neat and tidy and had the daily program in sight.  The orer in palling from the room was excellent.  The class made some nice recitations in history reading and mental arithmetic.

    J. C. Clark had present at Pleasant Grove nineteen.  The order was splendid and the pupils are splendid workers.  The recitations in reading were the best heard in a long time.  The primary class is cemmended for their good reading and their rapid advancement.

    Miss Tecie Hale had present at Powers Chappel seventeen.  She had a neat orderly room and the children are good workers.  The recitations in language, grammar and spelling were well done.

  Miss Mamie Low Mayfield had present in the primary at Cedar Springs twenty seven.  The pupils are fine workers and made some excellent recitations in arithmetic and reading.  The advanced department is for the third time under the management of H. O. Stansbury.  There were present thirty one and they were working quite up to the good name they have over the county.  Their recitations in reading, grammar and history were fully up to the standard.

    Miss Callie Thomas is getting on nicely at Shilo with seventeen present.  They did some very nice work in geography, language and arithmetic.

    Jerusalem is getting on very well woth Mrs. Annie Wheeler.  The number of large pupils in this school is noticeable and speaks well for it.  They made nice recitations in reading and geography.

    Miss M. F. Washington is doing some very nice work at Perry Springs.  The songs as recitations for Friday afternoon exercises recitations in spelling and primary reading.
