COMMISSIONERS' COURT.

Attention Given to Special School Tax
Matters, Etc.

     The County Commissioners Court held an adjourned session this week and transacted the following business:
     Special election ordered in Barclay school district for July 23 to determine whether special school tax of 10 cents shall be levied on the $100 valuation for school purposes.
     Ordered that county judge make deed to A. Witmers for school house lot in Cego, on petition of the school board.
     New Salem school tax election returns canvassed. Result: For abrogation 11 votes; against abrogation, 12 votes.
     Election returns In Hoolier district canvassed. For tax 16; against tax 0.
     Returns canvassed from Ben Rice district. For tax 11; against tax 1.
     II Kirkpatrick, pauper, allowed $3 per month, to be drawn by Forest Gaither.
     County judge authorized to sign sewer contract with city of Marlin as per agreement.
     Account of $573.75 allowed Tax Collector Reeves for making out 3825 poll tax receipts.
     The court will meet again on July 11 and 12 as a board of equalization.
