There is every evidence that the Marlin Street Fair and Merchants' Carnival is on.
The movements of the people, the omnipresence of the bunting, flags and other decorations indicate that the city of Marlin is right in the carnival with a full determination to make it a success.  The opening day was satisfactory to all and by Tuesday the entire machinery of the enterprise was in full operation.
The advance guard of the street fair arrived Sunday afternoon when the man with the "merry go round" appeared on the scene.  He was soon followed by the Gila Monster, the minature train, the "Midway," the Gillins family and many other attaches of aggregation.
