Flotorial Committee Adopts That
Method Of Nominating.

     The democratic executive committee of the 69th flotorial district met at 1 :30 Thursday afternoon in the parlors of the Fannin house in Marlin in persuance of the call issued by the chairman.
     There were present a full membership, as follows: W. M, Manchester of Waco, chairman; Geo. W. Barcus of McLennan; A. M. Nabors, of Limestone, and J. M. Kennedy of Falls.
     The purpose of the meeting was stated by the chairman to be the adoption of a method and time of nominating two candidates for flotorial representative from this district.
     After an informal discussion of the subject of primaries and conventions the following was introduced by Geo. W. Barcus, of McLennan: -
     "Be it resolved by the Democratic Executive Committee of the 69th Representative District that candidates for the office of Representative from said District be selected by a blanket primary, and that the two candidates receiving the largest number of votes shall be declared the nomiinee of the democratic party for the State Legislature from said district.
     2. That said primary shall be held on the 9th day of July, 1904, and that all returns and everything incident to same shall be made and the result declared in accordance with the general election laws adopted at the regular session of the 28th Legislature.
     3. A district convention shall be called by the chairman to meet at Waco, Texas, on the 4th Saturday in July at 10 a.m. 1904, for the purpose of electing an executive committee for the 69th Representative District; and a chairman of said committee, and or any other business that may come before said convention."
     The resolution was unanimous adopted.
     After thanking the manager of the Fannin House for courtesies extended the committee adjourned.
