BARN BURNED AT PERRY
~~~~~
Corn Planting And Other Notes
~~~~~

     A large barn, property of Mrs. M. A. Breeland, and entire contents was discovered to be on fire, about 4 o'clock Saturday evening and was a total loss. Value of barn $500 or more as it was a large, well built barn, sheds all around, with lumber all covered under shingle roof. Mrs. Breeland lost all her feed, consisting of corn, hay, millet and sorghum. Reinhardt Neuman, also had 500 bales of choice hay, valued at $150.00, all of which was a total loss, as there was no insurance on anything. No clue as to how barn caught fire.

     Corn planting the order of the day.  Cotton land all ready for the opening furrow, and planter.

     The bears got in a big inning in the egg market this week, Eggs slumped in price from 22 cents to a bit a dozen and some of the merchants "got bit" on eggs bought at the higher prices, and didn't get as much as twelve and a half cents for their eggs either.
