A party of Marlin gentlemen will erect an immense enclosure out on the Reed field to be used as a baseball park.
The enclosure will be 300x450 feet and will be eight feet high.
It will be provided with seats, grand stand, etc.
They have secured permission from the city council to temporarily close the streets and alleys that run through the proposed site so as to give proper room for the park.
A crack team will be organized and uniformed and will play from one to three games a week.
A list has been circulated among the business men and a liberal sum secured to assist in putting the plans into execution.
The enterprise is being looked after by Mr. L. N. Stanley and others and Mr. Stanley says that the enterprise will be pushed to a successful conclusion.
