An Autopsy Ordered
~~~~~
Stomach Of Stoddard To Be Analyzed
~~~~~

    The grand jury has deemed it advisable to make a minute and extensive investigation in the death of F. J. Stoddard who died Friday night under circumstances indication suicide, report of which is published in this paper.
    It is understood that a number of witnesses have been examined by the grand jury but of course nothing further is known as to their finding, if any.
    They, however, ordered the intestines of the man removed for analysis to determine, if possible, the exact character of the poison that caused his death.
    There have been rumors to the effect that Stoddard had a large sum of money in his possession when he came to Marlin, but if any credible evidence to this effect has been adduced the fact of its existence has not been divulged.
    The grand jury made a formal request of Judge Frazier, who held the inquest, that he have the vital of the man removed for a chemical analysis and suggested that Drs. Allen and Ward be appointed for that purpose.
    Accordingly Judge Frazier ordered the autopsy held and seledted these physicians and the work was done Tuesday afternoon.  The organs have been sent to Galveston for analysis.
