THE ARLINGTON BALL

The dance at the Arlington Friday night was the social event of the week.
Those who enjoy the mazes of the waltz have learned to expect a very pleasant time at the balls given at the Arlington, and this last one was of no disappointment to those who attended.
Manager Harrison is never more in his element than an opportunity presents itself when entertaining friends.  Quite a number of out of town guests were present and participating in the dance which lasted into morning hours, keeping time to the dulcet notes of the Arlington Orchestra and when "Sweet Home" was reached on the program it was with a feeling akin to regret that the hours had passed all too soon.
The following was the personal (sic) of those whose presence graced the occasion:  Misses Steadman, Palestine; Macfarlan, El Paso; York, Rockdale; Webb and Rhode, Bryan; Wintz, Palestine; Mixson, Eddy; Rimes, Camden, Ark., Wilson, Austin, Orgain, Tyler; Reynaud, Houston; Claxton, Gatesville; Hefley, Comeron House, Houston; Wilson, Atlanta Hardin, Clarkson, Shelton, Levy, Hailey, Watson, Peyton, Perkins Finks, Bartlett, Patrick, Jones, Marlin.
Messrs  Sellars, Palestine; Johnson, Bryan; Lowenstein, Rockdale; Harrison, New York; Nailor, Palestine; McDowell, Washington; Weathered, Waco; Daniels, Waco; Woodward, Houston; Ezel, Palestine; Stinchcomb, and Shaw, Longview; Cook, Gatesville; Hudson, Rockdale; Snead, Stribling, Stewart, Smith Davis, Branson, Adams, Chilton Shelton, McKnight, Smith Connally, Conoly, Allen, and Mr. and Mrs. Dan M Jackson, Marlin.
