AN ADDRESS.

To the Confederate veterans of Falls County; Comrades:--You will note from the newspapers that a Street Fair and Merchants Carnival will be held at Marlin from Sept. 15th to 20th inclusive.
The Fair and Carnival will be held under the auspices of the Ladies Sociel Club which will control all exhibitions.  Consequently nothing reasonably objectionable will be shown.
Aside from the fair, to which an admission fee will be charged, there will be other attractions free to the public and among them will be a re-union of the Confederate veterans of the county for which a full day has been set apart, viz; Sept. 16th.  Good speakers have been invited to make addresses.
The undersigned have been appointed a committee to address and tender you a cordial invitation to attend, assuring you that the ladies clubs, merchants and citizens of Marlin will give you a splendid welcome and the Confederates of Marlin will be delighted to welcome you as guests of Marlin.
                                   Respectfully,
                                             Q J Cockrell,
                                             N Stallworth,
                                                         committee.
