PLEASANT GROVE GOSSIP.

To The Democrat:

The farmers are gathering their corn and nearly everyone reports good yield, in fact better than was expected.  I have gathered 8 acres that was planted Feb. 28 and Mar. 4 that has made some better than 25 bushel per acre.  J. B. Butts reports as having gathered between 25 and 40 bushels off part of his crop.  How is that for Falls county sandy land.

Mrs. Quitman Bice died Friday morning and was buried Saturday.
We have been unable to learn any particulars as to her death.

       E. J. Lavender and family are spending a few days with relatives on the Sneed Ranch this week.

Mrs. R.P. Boyd is spending several days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Hitt, at Hewett.

Bob Boyd of Mart spent Saturday with his brother R.P. Boyd.

Jim Weldon is marketing his crop as rapidly as possible preparatory to moving west to Jones county.  Better stay in old Falls, can't be beat
