John and Sophronia Butts were my paternal grandmother's (Linda Wilcox Parton) maternal grandparents.  Linda Parton's mother was Miser Elizabeth Butts Wilcox (buried in Marlin Calvary Cemetery near the Parton plot), their daughter.  Anyway, Granny had a younger brother named Sam, surely after his uncle Sam Butts buried at Powers chapel.  I would assume Cordillia and Sam are both the children of Sophronia and John - the dates are correct.

That single Wilcox grave in Powers Chapel Cemetery is the brother of my great grandfather Early John Wilcox (husband of Miser Elizabeth Butts)  - John and his two brothers rode into central Texas from Georgia during reconstruction and found work on John Butts' farm.  Early John Wilcox married John Butts' daughter and his brother died at a young age while still working for the Butts and was buried in the Butts.  My grandmother told me about that ages ago.  Supposedly the original H. E. Butts was John's Butts' brother.

Sophronia was the daughter of Franklin and Elizabeth Gross, also buried there at Powers Chapel.
