Abraham Pevehouse was
born in 1813, the son of Jacob Pevehouse and Rachel Kellums. Jacob and
Rachel were married in Grainger Co., TN, but moved to Lawrence Co., AR.

Anson Jones. Sarah is buried in the Old City Cemetery (sometimes called

an old letter, Preston told his brother David that he lived on the stage road
from Cameron to Calvert. Have been unable to locate his burial site and
Cyrena's. Both have probate in Milam County. He is a Texas Rev.
soldier.
9. Mary
Martha Pevehouse, 1817 - 1852; she m. Leo Roark, the famous Indian fighter.
David Pevehouse
and Leo Roark, in addition to being brothers-in-law, were also best friends.
Leo's and Mary Martha's daughter, Mary Hellen Roark Hight, had twin sons whom
she named Leo Roark Hight and David Pevhouse Hight.
Mary Smith

She was very active in preserving Texas history. Immediately following Jones'
death in 1858, Mary put together the state and diplomatic papers from his
administration and had the published. She was largely responsible for the
formation of the Texas Veterans Association and the Daughters of the Republic of
Texas, of which she was President from the time of its inception in 1891 until
her death on December 31, 1907.
If anyone has
