"Mother"
From the 1850 and 1860 US Federal Census, Julia A. Currie (also at the Carolina
Cemetery) is David M Currie's mother. His father was James Currie, and he
appears on the 1850 US Census in Caswell, NC, but not on the 1860 US Census in
Colorado, TX. I'm guessing that James died in Colorado, TX. just prior to
the census. According to the 1860 US Census,
the children of James A. & Julia A. Currie were:
(The names in parentheses are how they appear on the 1850 US Census) David
M. born 1842 On the 1850 Census, it shows that James, Julia, and all
of the children were born in Caswell, NC. Info
