Robert Henry Spencer Wooley, b February 28, 1890 at Golinda, Falls County, Texas, d January 20, 1976 and is buried in the Robinson Cemetery, McLennan County, Texas-was a son of Daniel Elmer and Mary Alice (Allen) Wooley. He attended school at Golinda, and on October 19, 1916, he married Katie Frances Brewington, b October 2, 1897 in Bowling Green, Kentucky-a daughter of James Lester and Sarah Alice (Boyd) Brewington.
Robert Henry Spencer Wooley owned land between Satin and Golinda in Falls County, and was a farmer, carpenter, and cotton enumerator for the county for many years. For nearly twenty years, he was a building contractor who built many of the area homes; and later, he owned and operated a country grocery store until about 1966. His wife, Katie Frances (Brewington) came to Honey Grove, Texas with her parents from Bowling Green, Kentucky in the early 1900's. They moved by wagon from Honey Grove to Austin, Texas, where she could remember she could see the Texas Capitol Building from their home. It was here that she started to school. About 1904, the Brewington family moved to Satin in Falls County, where Katie Frances' father farmed land for Asa Warner.
Robert Henry Spencer and Katie Alice (Brewington) Wooley had four children:

Kathryn Alice Wooley, b and d April 17, 1918 at Golinda, Texas;

Dora Mozelle Wooley, b October 7, 1919 at Golinda-married February 17, 1941 at Hillsboro, Texas to Manley Gilcrist Bray, Jr., b June 19, 1909 at Chilton, Texas;

Jack D. Wooley, b September 15, 1921 at Golinda, married June 21, 1946 in Falls County to Corene Moore, b August 7, 1928 in Falls County to Corene Moore, b August 7, 1928 in Falls County; and

Dorothy Birdie Wooley, b August 26, 1923 at Golinda-married February 2, 1946 in Waco, Texas to H.C. Hague, b March 13, 1917 in Falls County.
During World War II, Katie Frances (Brewington) Wooley worked in an ammunition plant, and later she worked in her husband's grocery store.
