WOLF, Clarence Emil
Clarence Emil Wolf, b January 13, 1927 at The Grove, Coryell County, Texas-was a son of Gustav Emil Wolf, b July 31, 1887 at Green's Creek, Lee County, Texas, and his wife, Martha Melvin(Melde) Wolf, b July 7, 1893 at Fidor, Lee County, Texas. The Grove was a German community where Clarence was christened on January 16, 1927 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church, and confirmed on March 17, 1940. Clarence attended the St. Paul Parochial School until 1942, and graduated from Temple High School in 1944.
Clarence was engaged in his father's cotton ginning business at The Grove until 1949, when the family moved to Rosebud, Falls County, Texas and his father bought the Ligon-Sapp Gin. The gin burned in 1962, and they continued in the ginning business at Burlington until 1974. Clarence has been in the seed conditioning and seed sales business, and is a certified seed producer, since 1974.
Clarence Emil Wolf is involved in public and civic affairs, has belonged to the Volunteer Fire Department in Rosebud for twenty-five years, is a member of the Lions Club, Secretary of the Rosebud Chamber of Commerce(1952-1953), Mayor of Rosebud (1971-1975), and again Mayor in 1984-1985. He is a Director of the First Consolidated Bank of Rosebud (originally the First National Bank) since 1961, has served as a Director of the Texas Cotton Ginners Association, and of the National Cotton Ginners Association, and as Secretary-Treasurer of the Central Texas Cotton Ginners Association.
On July 5, 1953, Clarence Emil Wolf married Norma Blanche Neal, b March 22, 1934 in Falls county, Texas-a daughter of James Russell and Beatrice (McKelroy) Neal of Lott, Texas.
Blanche was a graduate of Lott High School, and attended Jenkins-Barnes Laboratory and X-Ray Technician School in Waco, Texas. In 1952, she was employed by Rosebud Hospital and Clinic as X-Ray and Surgical Technician, and filled that position until 1954. In 1979, Blanche received an Associate Degree in Nursing from McLennan Community College.
Clarence and Blanche Wolf are the parents of two children:

Beverly Carole Wolf, b August 3, 1955 at Rosebud, who married on January 7, 1978 to Larry Dan Luedke of Marlin, Texas.

Clarence Emil Wolf, Jr., b December 4, 1958 at Rosebud, who is a graduate of Rosebud/Lott High School, is a member of the First Lutheran Church of Rosebud, and is in business with his father in seed conditioning and seed sales. He enjoys baseball and all sports, and is not married.
