ELMER LEE ("JACK") TAYLOR

     Elmer Lee Taylor (called "Jack"), b December 30, 1895 in Falls County, Texas, d December 30, 1895 in Falls County, Texas, d January 25, 1977 - was a son of Timothy Elisha and Beulah Bertie (Duke) Taylor. In 1917, Jack was married to Nettie Byrne, b March 23, 1902, d September 17, 1979 - a daughter of William Lawrence and Virginia (Woodall) Byrne, of Lott, Texas. Jack and Nettie were the parents of eight children:

     Robert Lee Taylor, b November 23, 1918 - married Mary Frances Flowers, and their son, Robert Lee Taylor, Jr., received his B.A. and M.A. degrees in History from Baylor University. He is a member of the Central Texas Genealogical Society, and a Second Lieutenant Commander of the Hood's Texas Brigade Camp of the Sons of Confederate Veterans. It was his research that recorded his heritage.

     Lola May Taylor, b February 15, 1920, d November 28, 1978 - married Clarence Welborn Brooks.

     Dorothy Jane Taylor, b December 14, 1924 - married Sam D. Merritt, Jr.

     William Elisha Taylor, b March 14, 1924 - married Jean Keelen.

     Bertie Virginia Taylor, b September 5, 1926 - married John James Burcher.

     Pansie Jean Taylor, b September 2, 1928 - married Arthur Liddell Short.

     Jack Byrne Taylor, b December 21, 1930 - married Edna Pauline McGregor.

     Bobbie Sue Taylor, b April 4, 1935 - married William Kinsey.
