HENRY MAJORS LARMOUR

 

 

     Henry Majors Larmour, b October 19, 1888, d December 20,1979 was a nephew of George W. Gassaway, prominent citizen of Falls County who lived in the Lott, Texas area. He married Sibyl Woodland, b May , 1888 at Blue Ridge, d March 12, 1972 - a daughter William Howell and Ella Cynthia (Wright) Wood- 1d; and they were the parents of five daughters:

     Ann Louise Larmour - married Richard Andrew Severson on December 2, 1945, and they had four children: Richard Larmour ("Dicky") Severson, b September 9, 1946 - married Marcy Pirtle and had Chad Larmour Severson and Jeffrev Pirtle Severson; Ricky Ray Severson, b August 25, 1951, who is not married; Micky Majors Severson, b December 29, 1954, who married Kathy Stout, and has Dan Severson, b January 1985; and Nicky Blair Severson, b December 1, 1959, who married Wanda Sowders and has Andrew Larmour Severson, b May 1984.

     Grace Woodland Larmour - married James Sigler, and had two daughters: Marian Grace Sigler, who married Alan McClure; and a daughter who married John Ball.

     Cora Elizabeth Larmour - who married Arlyn S. Powell, and had six children: Aryln S. Powell, Jr.; Michael Larmour Powell, Patric Powell, Bonnie Powell, David Powell, and Elizabeth ("Beth") Powell.

     Mary Ella Larmour - who married Harold Cole and had two sons: Roger Cole and Richard Cole.

     Sibyl Henrietta Larmour-who married Kenneth Morris, and had three children: Terri Morris, Sherri Morris, and Kenneth Morris, Jr.

     Henry Majors Larmour and Sibyl (Woodland) Larmour lived all their married lives in Lott, Texas. "Miss Sibyl" taught school at Blue Ridge, and after rearing her family, she attended Baylor University - receiving her degree there when she was seventy years old. Their daughter, Ann Louise (Larmour) Severson, has followed in her mother's footsteps as a teacher's aide in the Marlin Independent School District.
