WILLIAM WESLEY HUNNICUTT, SR.

William Wesley and Jessie (Robertson) Hunnicutt, Sr.

     William Wesley HunnIcutt (called "Bill"), b November 26, 1851 in Falls County, Texas, d April 17, 1932 and buried in Calvary Cemetery in Marlin, Texas - was one of seventeen children of Winfield Scott and Lucinda (Smith) Hunnicutt, and the first child born at Blue Ridge, Texas after the family moved there from Tennessee.

     On November 4, 1885, Bill married Jessie Robert- son, b October 24, 1870, d July 14, 1931, buried next to her husband, - the only child of John Howard Robert- son, b March 31, 1945, d 1939 at the age of 94 years, and his wife, Elizabeth (Pitts) Robertson, b August 2, 1946, d February 31, 1931, of Florida. Bill and Jessie Hunnicutt had eight children:

     Lola Pearl, b October 22, 1886 who married October 6,1910 to Charles Garrad "Tad" Bierbower, an attorney, b October 6, 1869 of Evansville. Indiana. They had eight children: (1) Jessie Mary, b August 26,1911, I October 11, 1980 - who married James Robert Caldwell and they had two children: Lola Jean, b September 30, 1943 in San Antonio and Jessie Lou, b December 31, 1944 in San Antonio, Texas who married Wm. P. Sharkey of Los Angeles, California and they have two children: Carrie Marie, b March 11, 1971 and Kenneth Lee, b August 26, 1972; (2) Lola Elizabeth, b October 17, 1912, d June 26,1915 in Lampasas, Texas; (3) Charles Garrad "Bud" Jr., b February 28, 1915 who married Jo Anita Wayland and they had two children, Amy, b January 11, 1943 and Joseph Garrad "Joe", b December 20, 1946; (4) William Hunnicutt "Bill", b August 9, 1916 in Lampasas, d November 23, 1958 - married Dorothy Jean Smith and they had two children, William Bruce, b January 25, 1945 and Barbara Jean, b September 12, 1946 who married Jim Somners; (5) Fannie Alice "Fan", b February 23, 1921 in San Antonio, Texas - married William Hardwick Waller of Three Rivers, Texas and they had one child Martha Sue, b August 20,1952- married Fred Doublas Whitebear of Seattle, Washington and they have me child Sequoya Ann, b May 4, 1974; (6) Martha Agnes, b February 18, 1925, d February 20, 1925, twin 0 Clara Stuart "Betsy"; (7) Clara Stuart "Betsy", b February 18, 1925 in San Antonio, Texas - married Norman Linwood Baker of Austin, Texas and they had our children: Norman Linwood Jr. "Woody', b April 8, 947 who married Rebecca Ann Jirasek and they have three children: Sherri Selema, b January 1, 1971, Sheila Suzanne, b February 8,1974 and Sharon Elizabeth, b February 8, 1974 (twins); Samuel Garrard Sam", b November 20, 1951 who married Laura Stone and they had two children: James Lee, b May 5, 1973 and Christopher, b April 26, 1979; William Wesley Bill", b July 30, 1957 - married Catherine Dianne Reynolds and they have one child, Julie Christine, b October 10, 1982; and Robert Lee "Bob", b February 22, 1957; (8) James Culver "Cubby", b October 12, 1926 in San Antonio, Texas and he has one child Steven Craig, b April 25, 1964 in Houston, Texas.

     Robin Winfield Hunnicutt, b April 12, 1888 - married in Corpus Christi, Texas, on September 16, 1917 to Thelma Irene Grant and had two children: Jack Herbert Hunnicutt and Mary Elizabeth (Hunnicutt) Davis.

     Clara Elizabeth Hunnicutt, b September 7, 1889 - married December 24, 1912 in Kerrville, Texas to Dr. Charles Donald Stuart, and had no issue.

     Mary Lucinda Hunnicutt, b October 5, 1891 in Marlin, Texas, d June 22, 1959 and buried in Calvery Cemetery in Marlin, Texas - married Ercie Hamilton Cox, b December 30, 1887 at Mineola, Texas, d February 1, 1962 and buried next to his wife, and they had two children: (1) Ercie Hamilton, Cox, Jr., b January 9, 1914 in Marlin, Texas d July 15, 1982-married January 9, 1942 to Viola Marie Sibley and they had four children: Donna Elizabeth, b April 23, 1943 - who married Donald David Waterbury and they have one child Curtis Hoyt, b September 8, 1970, Mary Jane, b May 6, 1945 (twin) who married Lynnwood Wray Thomas and they have three children: William Mc- Swain Thomas, b July 19, 1965, Mark Hamilton Thomas, b August 14, 1969 and Matthew Wray Thomas, b November 6, 1970; E. Virginia Cox (twin), b May 6, 1945 - married Jack Ward Steele and they have two children: Patrick Wayne Steele, b May 6, 1966 and Cinda Marie Steele, b April 8, 1968; Michael LaGrand Cox, b June 1, 1961 who married Susan Lynette Hankina and they have one child, Cayce Michele, b May 4, 1981; (2) Mary Jane Cox, b May 24, 1914 in Marlin, Texas, d April 22, 1944 and buried in Calvary Cemetery in Marlin, Texas.

     William Wesley Hunnicutt, Jr. (called "Tud"), b July 15, 1894 in Marlin, Texas, d July 16, 1958 in Marlin - married Sybil Mae Finley.

     Fannie Viola Hunnicutt, b January 23, 1896 - married Welton Barnes Priest, b December 11, 1893 at Lott, Texas.

     Carrie Bell Hunnicutt, b November 2, 1900, d August 17, 1927, never married.

     Howard Robertson Hunnicutt, b August 20, 1909, d September 24,1966. He was CCM USNR in World War II.

     William Wesley Hunnicutt, Sr. was a member of Marlin Masonic Lodge No. 152 in 1869, and was a York Rite Mason. He was a County and State Licensed Land Surveyor.
