Benjamin Franklin Anding, b October 10, 1833 in Mississippi, d June 16, 1901 in
Falls County, Texas--was the son of Martin Alexander Anding, I, b January 20,
1805 in South Carolina, d January 27, 1854 in Mississippi and his wife, Mary
Lambright--daughter of George and Dorcas (Schuler) Lambright, to whom he was
married in Mississippi on December 28, 1832.
Benjamin was married ca 1859 in Mississippi to MAry Margaret McGee--a daughter
of Chester and Rachel (thompson) McGee, also of Mississippi. The Anding family
immigrated to the Rosebud area of Falls County, Texas in the mid-1880's before
that town was organized. Their nine children were born in Mississippi:
Chester McGee Anding, b July 7, 1860 at Caseyville, Lincoln County, Mississippi,
d March 1, 1901 in Falls County, Texas--married December 1, 1886 to Florence
FAnnin--duaghter of William Thomas and Mary Minerva (Varnado) Fannin, natives of
Mississippi who also settled in FAlls County, at stranger.
Margaret Elizabeth Anding, b January 15, 1881 to MAtthew Bailess.
Mary Dorcas Anding, b July 23, 1864, d July 4, 1933--married December 17, 1884
to James Bailess. They came to Falls County, but then returned to Mississippi.
Rachel Thompson Anding, b January 30, 1867, d May 1934 in Falls County,
Texas--married Albert Mullins.
Eunice Anding, b June 4, 1869, d August 3, 1957--marriedf her sister's widower,
Albert Mullins.
Martin Alexander Anding,II (called "Alex"), b September 6, 1871, d May 29, 1930
in Rosebud, Falls County, Texas--married first to Julia Moore Watkins; married
second to Georgia Theresa Hale; and married third to Cora (Clark) Taylor.
John Franklin Anding, b February 16, 1874, d November 8, 1974, in Falls County,
Texas--married Kate Eddins--daughter of Marcus Elbert ("Pink") and Nancu Lou
(Finley) Eddins.
Edna Earl Anding, b May 3, 1876, d September 23, 1925--married May 18, 1899 to
Martin Flood.
Evan C. Anding, b September 16, 1880, d July 30, 1881. Descendents of Benjamin
Franklin Anding continue to reside in he Rosebud and Wilderville area of Falls
County.
