Pioneers of Ellis County Dr. W. B. Wallace   Dr. Wallace died Dec. 17, 1896 at the home of his son, J. J. Wallace,  Born in 1821 in Putman Co. Ga., he practiced medicine there until he moved in 1856 to Trenton, La., where he continued practice for thirty years.  He moved to Texas in 1885 with his youngest son. The doctor was buried in the family cemetery of the late J. E. Dean. Reference: Ellis County History compiled by Mrs. A. L.
