Pioneers of Ellis County Josiah Archibald Marshall   Born July 3, 1838 near Hartsville, Tenn., he married Margaret Virginia (Jenny) Bell Sept. 21, 1861 in Ellis County. There were eight children - the two oldest born in Arkansas before the move to Texas in 1870. Josiah died February 3, 1917 and Margaret died February 18, 1930 at Rockett. Both are buried at Bell's Chapel Cemetery. Children [now deceased], Anna Laura, Edward Lee, Mary Iona, Fannie Bell, Lizzie Pearl, David Marvin, John Robert and Joseph Melvin.   Copyright © 2002-2016, Ellis County TXGenWeb.
