Singing School

The Singing School, probably in Ennis with James B. Wilson (in the white beard) teacher.
James was born Sep 22, 1833 and died in Ennis Oct 2, 1912.  I would date the picture
circa 1900-1910.

Mail Rider

This second photo is simply labeled on the back "Mail Rider" and I assume it is from
Ennis around the same period.

I was recently told by my 99 year old mother-in-law, that the occasion of this photo was the deliverance of a small coffin with the remains of a child , for burial.

James B. Wilson

b. 9-22-1833 and d. 10-2-1912, Ennis TX

See "Singing School" photo, above.

James B. Wilson's
UCV medal and ribbon.

Note the same ribbons on the gentlemen in the
second photo on the Jerry D. Beauchamp photo
page.  It is very likely that James Wilson may be
one of those pictured in that photo. I would love
to hear any comments.
