Obituary G. M. Harper   Waxahachie Enterprise, Aug. 15, 1890 Mr. Harper came here a few days ago from Sabine Pass to consult with one of our physicians regarding treatment of calcuus.  An operation was performed Sunday morning which removed three stones ranging in size from a hazelnut to the end of a man's thumb.  Since Harper had suffered for years it was known that such an operation would probably prove fatal, but in his own words, death was preferred to so much pain. The operation, completed  at 11 o'clock Sunday resulted in the death of the patient at 1 o'clock Monday.  The funeral was held Tuesday morning, Rev. I. R. Dean officiating.  Since Harper was an ex-Confederate soldier, several members of Camp Winnie Davis attended the services. G. M. Harper G. M.
