Obituary Mrs. Mary L. Bell Texas Baptist Herald; Aug. 24, 1876   Mary Bell, wife of V. B. Bell, died at the home of her father, John Ballard in Ellis County, Texas July 25, 1876, aged 24 years and one day.  She was born in Missouri July 24, 1852, moved with her father and family to Fannin County, Texas in 1856 ansd to Ellis County in 1868. She professed faith at Hopewell Baptist Church, Ellis County, July 1874 but did not unite with the church until 1876 when she was baptised by this writer [Pastor E. C.
