$30,000 Brick Plant Burned at Ferris Special to The Dallas Morning News, April 22, 1910 Page 1   Ferris, Ellis County, Tex. April 21. The Globe Pressed Brick Company, one of the largest plants in the state, burned this morning at 4 o'clock. Origin of fire unknown, but it started in the engine room. Estimated loss is between $30,0000 and 40,000.About $8,000 worth of partially burned brick was lost. Since it requires thirty days to burn kiln and there were four unfinished kilns it will be sixty days before the plant can be replaced.
