Center Point We were told that Center Point got its name because it was half-way between Waxahachie and Hillsboro (in Hill County). It was located about two miles south of Italy on the north side of Hwy 77. There was a school and a store many years ago, but no evidence of a community remains at this time. The last school master was Henry Smithwick and the school consolidated with Italy many years ago.
