Obituary

Services were conducted for Mrs. Ola Mae Yoes in the First Assembly of God Church Saturday, April 18, at 2:30 p.m.

Rev. B.Z. Curtis officiated, assisted by Rev. Dock Love.

Mrs. Yoes was born in Limestone County in 1899. Her parents were Mr. And Mrs. C.E. Dean. In 1916 she married O.C. Yoes and they moved to Dickens County in 1931. She was converted to the Christian religion early in life. Mrs. Yoes died April 17.

Pallbearers were P.E. Custer, Ed Butler, Floyd Smith, Roy Baker, H.C. McElyea, Flavious Alexander.

Survivors include her husband, one son, Charlie of Lubbock; four daughters, Lettie Pauline Harrington, Dollie Eveline Cornelius, Ona Carlene Peek and Gladys Marie Elms; two brothers, Bill Dean and Howard Dean; nineteen grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Interment was in the Spur Cemetery with Campbell's Funeral Chapel in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Bethel Baptist Church for Odis Carl Yoes, 70, who died suddenly Jan. 14.

Rev. Vergil Smith officiated at the services.

Mr. Yoes was a retired car salesman. He had been a resident of Dickens Co. since 1923. He was a member of the Baptist Church. His wife preceded him in death in 1953.

Survivors include one son, Charlie O. Yoes, Lubbock; four daughters, Mrs. Gladys Elms, and Mrs. Pauline Herrington, both of Marsville, CA; Mrs. Dollie Rhodes, Sacramento, CA and Mrs.Billie Peek, McCamey; one brother, Irvin Yoes, Eden and one sister, Mrs. T.D. Moore, Spur.

Twenty two grandchildren also survive.

Burial was in the Spur Cemetery.
