SPUR (Special) Services for Pauline Yeakley, 79, of Spur will be at 2 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Harbison officiating.Burial will be in the Spur Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home.
She died Monday, Oct. 4, 1999, at the Crosbyton Hospital.
She was born Aug. 31, 1920, in Spur. She graduated from Girard High School in 1939. She married Barney Yeakley on Jan. 17, 1946, in Dickens. She was a housewife and a member of the First Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Bobby Wayne Yeakley on Sept. 20, 1955.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Joe Yeakley of Santa Teresa, N.M.; two brothers, Pete Hagins and M.A. "Mutt" Hagins, both of Spur; four sisters, Rosa Lee Taylor of Spur, Joyce Parker of Lubbock, Dolly Blair of Cleburne and Jo Ann McWhorter of Buchanan Dam; and a granddaughter.

Services for Barney Yeakley, 91, of Spur were held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at the First Baptist Church in Spur with Eric Swenson officiating. Burial was in Spur Cemetery under direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.Mr. Yeakley passed away Sunday, September 16, 2007 in Spur. He was born January 6, 1916 in Pilot Point, Texas to the late Edgar F.[W.] and Sara Elizabeth (Tucker) Yeakley.
On January 17, 1946 he married Pauline Hagins in Dickens. She preceded him in death October 4, 1999.
Barney was a graduate of Spur High School and lived in Spur most of his life. He was a member and Deacon of First Baptist Church of Spur. He was a farmer and carpenter for many years. He retired from the White River Municipal Water District after 23 years of service. Barney served in the US Air Force during WWII and was a member of the Spur VFW.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law; Joe and Denise Yeakley of Lindale, Texas, a granddaughter; Nicole Yeakley of Lindale, a brother-in-law; Mutt Hagins and his wife Mildred of Spur and four sisters-in-law; Rosa Lee Taylor of Spur, Joycie Parker of Lubbock, Dollie Blair of Cleburne and Joan McWhorter of Durango, Colorado.
