Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 10 in the Spur Church of Christ for Asa Taylor Wright, 80, Vernon Williams, minister of Comanche, OK officiated at the 2 p.m. service.

Mr. Wright died November 7 in Spur Memorial Hospital. He was a retired farmer, having made Dickens county his home since 19525. He was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife; four sons, Roy, Dumas; Vernon and Elmer, Spur; and Paul, Germany; five daughters, Lena Jenkins, Dallas; Clara Fisher, Geary, OK; Elsie Wallace, Modesto, CA; Inez Massey and Pauline Holmes, both of Big Spring; one sister, Mrs. Ola Kimbrough, Burleson; 31 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

Burial was in the Spur cemetery.
