Boney Winkler, 78, of Kalgary, died Sunday June 10, 2007 in Lubbock. Graveside services were 10:30 am, Thursday, June 14, 2007 in Spur Memorial Cemetery with Eric Swenson officiating. Services are under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home in Spur.Boney was born December 10, 1929 in Spur. His parents were Roy and Sue Scott Winkler. He married Doylene Hinson on April 4, 1948 in Seminole. She preceded him in death September 7, 2005. Boney was a rancher in Kalgary most of his life, raising bucking bulls, exotic animals, longhorn cattle and Ankole Watusi cattle. He was a member of the Masonic lodge, American Longhorn Assn., and the Dickens County Sherriff�s Posse and polo team.
He is survived by two daughters, Carla Williamson of Lubbock and Nan McCloy and husband Monte of Sofia, NM; three grandchildren, Tye Williamson and wife Kami of Lubbock, Matt McCloy and wife Ingrid of Clifton, TX and Clint McCloy and wife Amber of Hayden, NM; two great-grandchildren, Miles McCloy of Clifton, TX and Hadley McCloy of Hayden, NM; one brother, Roy Don Winkler and wife Barbara of Brenham, TX; one sister, Lenora Jones and Husband Glenn of Kalgary; Mother-in-law, Thelma Hinson of Crosbyton.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Sue Winkler; one brother, L.C. Winkler; and one granddaughter, Laci McCloy.
