Final rites for David A. Wilson of Bentonville, Ark. were held at the First Baptist Church of Spur Saturday morning, August 4, at 10 o'clock. Rev. Lee Vaughn of Jayton assisted by Rev. Cal Wright of Spur officiated.

Wilson, 56, was a former resident of Spur, coming to Dickens county in 1928. He was married to Dovie Towles in May of 1921 at Clarendon, TX. She preceded him in death, dying in November, 1948.

In March, of 1950 he was married to Genevieve Paullah of Bentonville, AR. He made his home there until the time of his death.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Genevieve Wilson of Bentonville; one step-son, Terry Paullah of Bentonville; four brothers, Leonard and Virgil both of Spur, Harvey of Wellington; and Billy of Pampa; six sisters, Mrs. R.Z. Taylor of Blair, OK; Mrs. Dee Casion of Hereford; Mrs. Omer Laughlin of Ada, OK; Mrs. Aubrey Turner of Pampa; Mrs. Cleo Copeland of Altus, OK; and Mrs. Tom Helton of Layfette, CO.

Burial was in the Spur cemetery under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home.
