Services for Blanche L. Hamilton Wilson, 83, were at 2 p.m. June 18, 1992 in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Norris Taylor, former Spur Baptist pastor, now retired, officiating.Burial was in Spur Memorial Cemetery with Campbell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Wilson died about 1:30 p.m. on June 15 in Methodist Hospital, following a lengthy illness. She was born in San Angelo on April 19, 1909. A homemaker, she had lived most of her life in Spur. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
She married Joe Hamilton on September 16, 1929 in Waurika, Oklahoma. He died March 3, 1958. She later married Charles Virgil Wilson on December 25, 1969 in Spur. He died on March 26, 1977.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Leroy and Lou Hamilton of Liberty Hill; a step-daughter, Bartina Wilson Peoples, Walters, OK; a brother, W.B. Glass Jr., Abilene; two sisters, Udell Gilcrease and Faye Arnold, both of Spur; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
