Funeral services for Alvis Wilson, 53, were held Sunday in the Spur Church of Christ with Buster Mullin, Graham, officiating. He was assisted by R.D. Hill, Spur.

Wilson came to Dickens County in 1908 and resided in the Steel Hill Community. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Effie Wilson. Other survivors include the following children: Mrs. W.J. Leach, Ballinger; J.W. Wilson, Denver City; Mrs. Charles Derington, Bledsoe; A. Laverne, Wilson, Lubbock; and Coy Lee Wilson, Spur.

Brothers and sisters surviving are: Mrs. Sam Johnson, Stamford; John Held, Lubbock; Ms. Jim Vernon, OK; Mrs. R.C. Littlefield, Lubbock; Sandra Reid, Spur and Becky Reid, Spur.

Interment in Spur Cemetery with Campbell Funeral Home in charge.
