Funeral services for Helen Grace Williams, 81, were held Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m. in the First Christian Church with Rev. George Price, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, officiating.Mrs. Williams died at Town and Country Nursing Home in Boerne about 6:30 a.m. September 20 following a lengthy illness. She had lived most of her life in Spur, living the past seven years at Boerne. Early in her life she worked for the City of Spur, however, she was also one of the first employees when Dickens Electric Cooperative was formed. She worked for Dickens Electric for 22 years until her retirement in 1966.
She was a member of the First Christian Church.
Survivors include one son, Dr. Pat Williams, Boerne, four grandchildren: Dr. Gregory P. Williams, Tulsa, OK; Gayle Freeman, Tulsa, OK; Ray A. Williams, Pryor, OK; Joe D. Williams, Tablequah, OK; eight great grandchildren; two nieces: Lillian Grace Nay, Spur; Frances Walters, Bay City and two nephews: John H. Grace and Joe W. Grace, both of Houston.
Burial was in Spur Memorial Cemetery with Campbell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
