Funeral services for Harper Samuel Williams, 80, were held Monday at 2 p.m. in the Spur Church of Christ. H.L. Dennis, McAdoo, officiated, assisted by Floyd Hall, Crosbyton.

Mr. Williams, a native of Travis County, died July 28, in a Yellville, Arkansas hospital following an illness. He had made his home in Dickens County from 1912 to 1962. He was a minister and member of the Church of Christ.

Mr. Williams was married to Jessie Mae Grigg, February 14, 1961 in Farmington, NM.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Harper Williams, Yellville, AR; one son, Robert Williams, San Antonio; two daughters, Louis Leonard and Ruth Ranne both of San Antonio; two step sons, Horace Gregg, Penion, NM and Bill Gregg, Yellville, AR; two sisters, Elizabeth Curry, Spur and Ella Williams, Lubbock; two brothers, Willie Williams, McAdoo and David Williams, Amarillo; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Burial was in Spur Cemetery.
