U.S.Flag   Graveside services for C.L. Williams, 79, of Azle were held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2002 at Spur Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Richard Harbison officiating. Services were under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home of Spur.

He died Monday, Jan. 28, 2002 at Plaza Medical Center in Fort Worth.

He was born Oct. 27, 1922 in Spur. He attended Spur schools. He married Gladys Winters on July 28, 1944, in Garden City, KS. He served in the air force during World War II. He retired from Central Freight Lines. He was a Baptist.

He was preceded in death by one infant son, Larry Dean, in 1948.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jimmy Williams of Azle and Richard Williams of Houston; two brothers, Russell and Snooks Williams , both of Spur; a sister, Norweeta Mathis of Lubbock; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
