Funeral services were held here Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. for Arthur Gay Williams, 60, a carpenter. He died suddenly in El Paso.

Services were held in the First Baptist Church with Rev. John Jenkins officiating.

Mr. Williams lived in Dickens County from 1927 to 1952. Since 1952 he had made his home in Abilene. He was a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, five sons, Glen, Lamesa; Basil, Abilene; Jack Ray, El Paso; four brothers, W.T. Spur; Acie, Lingerville, Bernice, Paducah, and Jack, Spur; three sisters, Mrs. Melba Corbin, Ft. Worth; Mrs. Mattie Elliott, Hurlong, CA; Mrs. Lela Jackson, Dalhart; 8 grandchildren.

Burial was in the Spur cemetery.
