Funeral services for Ruth K. White, 74, were held June 29 in the Church of Christ, Girard, with John McCoy, Minister of the Meadow Church of Christ officiating, assisted by Rev. James Hamilton, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, of Meadow.

Mrs. White died June 27th in a Brownfield Medical center. She lived in Spur from about 1910 until 1975 when she moved to Meadow. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Her husband preceded her in death in September, 1969.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Albert (Carolyn) Bayer, Meadow; one step-daughter, Juanita Athenas, Kansas City, MO; a step son, Granville F. White, Lubbock; one sister, Mrs. Ruby Hyatt, Dickens; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Burial was in the Spur cemetery.

Funeral services for Ruth King White, 74, of Meadow, were at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Girard Church of Christ with John McCow, pastor of the Meadow Church of Christ officiating, assisted by the Rev. James Hamilton, pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Meadow.

Burial was in the Spur Cemetery under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home.

She died at 9:30 a.m. Friday in Brownfield Medical Center after a lengthy illness.

Born in Madisonville, she married J.C. White March 30, 1934 in New Mexico. He died September 9, 1969. They came to Dickens County in 1910 and she moved to Meadow in 1975.

Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Baker of Meadow; a stepdaughter, Juanita Athenas of Kansas City, MO; a stepson, Granville F White of Lubbock; a sister, Mrs. Ruby Hyatt of Dickens, 3 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.
