U.S.Flag  Services for Richard Francis Westfall, 76, Post, were at 2 p.m. March 4, 1991 in the Highway 70 Church of Christ with Paul Jones, Post, officiating; assisted by Ernie Bishop, Spur minister.

Burial was in Spur Memorial Cemetery under direction of Campbell Funeral Home. The Spur VFW conducted military graveside services.

Westfall died at his home March 1 about 5:30 a.m. (Mr. Westfall felt that his death was due to smoking and requested that it be included in his obituary). He was born October 6, 1914 in Stonewall County. A native of Spur, he moved to Post in 1984. He married Jean Morgan, August 23, 1946 in Dickens.

He was a farmer rancher and a brand inspector for the Southwest Cattle Raisers Assn.; he was a 1932 graduate of Girard High School and a member of the VFW and the Church of Christ. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

He is survived by hi wife, Jean Westfall, Post; three sons, Foy Westfall, Newton, KS; Neal Marchbanks, Eagle River, AK; Richard C. Westfall, Dallas; two sisters, Gracie Kimmel, Quitman and Elizabeth Daughtry, Spur; one brother, Ira, preceded him in death in 1968; four grandchildren.
