Funeral services were conducted Sunday, December 19, at the First Baptist church in Spur for Melvin Webster, 25, who died in a Lubbock hospital Saturday afternoon. The services were held by Rev. Herman Coe, pastor.Melvin was born on December 5, 1918 in Falls County, TX and moved with his parents to this county in 1937.
He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. R.B. Webster, two sisters, Ila Newsom and Mozelle Cathey, O'Donnell; 3 brothers, Alva and Robert of Kalgary and George of Dickens. Also several nieces and nephews survive.
Funeral arrangements were with Chandler Funeral home with burial in Spur Cemetery.
