Services for Edward Luther (Ed) Webb, 80, of Post, formerly of Spur, were at 11 a.m. December 7, 1995 in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Mark McBride, Lake Dallas and Rev. Richard Harbison, Spur, officiating.

Burial was in Spur Memorial Cemetery under direction of Campbell Funeral Home.

Mr. Webb died December 5, 1995 in Methodist Hospital, Lubbock. He was born November 6, 1915 in Perrin and had lived in Spur most of his life. He married Dutch Irene Webb in Spur on December 14, 1939. She preceded him in death on July 7, 1982.

He was a farmer and had been an employee of the City of Spur for over 39 years. He was City Superintendent when he retired. He is preceded in death by a son, Melvin Webb, in 1957.

Survivors include three sons, Charlie Webb, Lubbock; Melton Webb, Los Lunas, NM and Jimmy Joe Richards, Hobbs, NM; one daughter, Glenda Atkinson, Post; 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
