Bill WatsonWilliam �Bill� Everett Watson 76 went to be with the Lord Friday, April 24, 2015 in Spur, Texas.

He was born on July 22, 1938 to Arner Watson and Velma �Coker� Watson. He married his High School Sweetheart, Beverly Bostic, on September 1, 1957 at the First Baptist Church in Spur, Texas. Bill graduated Spur High School in 1956 and went on to graduate from Hardin Simmons University in 1960 with a Bachelor�s Degree in Business/Economics. Shortly after graduation he entered the US Army, where he attained the rank of Captain. He had Mobile Home dealerships in Lubbock for 25 years; at one time he had multiple sale lots in TX, NM, and OK. Later he owned Barricades Unlimited for numerous years. Bill and Beverly returned to Spur, TX upon retirement, and Bill went to work as a Guard for the prison in Spur. He stayed busy keeping the class of 1956 together. Bill was an avid fisherman and he made lots of great memories teaching his kids and grandkids the art of fishing.

Bill is survived by wife of 57 years Beverly Watson of Spur, Texas; Children Kyle Watson and wife Elvira of Gladewater, Texas, Rodger Watson and wife Monica of Slaton, Texas, Debbie Tucker and husband Deron of Lubbock, Texas; Sister, Beth Wilson of Odessa, Texas; Eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dean Watson.

Services will be held Wednesday April 29, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Spur, Texas with Richard Harbison officiating with Rory Mosley assisting under the direction of Zapata Funeral Home.
