Cordie Watson
Funeral services for Mrs. Cordie Lavicy Watson, 84 were held Tuesday afternoon at 3 p.m. in the First Baptist Church with Rev. John Jenkins, Lorenzo, officiating, assisted by Rev. Norris Taylor.
Mrs. Watson died Sunday in the Crosbyton hospital following a lengthy illness. Married to Will Watson in 1898, the couple made their home in the Red Hill Community from 1916 to 1958, when they moved in to Spur. She was a member of the Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband; 4 sons, Floyd, Burnice, Arner and Lester, all of Spur; two daughters, Mrs. J.C. Reese, Spur and Mrs. Ben Boland, Jayton; one brother, Emmett Moon, and one sister, Mrs. Effie Watson, both of Mart; 26 grandchildren and 58 great grandchildren.
Interment was in the Spur Cemetery.

Will Watson
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday in the First Baptist Church for Will Watson, 90. Rev. Norris Taylor, church pastor, will officiate; he will be assisted by Rev. M.L. Brewr, First Baptist Church, Jayton.
A retired farmer, Mr. Watson died January 16 in the Crosbyton Hospital. He had been a resident of Spur since 1916. He was a member of the Baptist Church and Woodman of World.
His wife preceded him in death in 1966.
Included among survivors are four sons, Floy Watson, Arner Watson, and Bernice Watson, all of Spur; Lester Watson of Haskell; two daughters, Mrs. J.C. Reese, Spur; and Mrs. Ben Boland, Jayton; one sister, Mrs. Ella Copeland, of Spur; 26 grandchildren and 59 great great grandchildren.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Interment was in Spur Cemetery.
