Funeral services were held August 21, for James Edward Walden, 62 year old retired cowboy at the Assembly of God Church in Spur.

Henry Causey and M.C. Walters officiated at the services.

Walden spent most of his life in Crosby and Garza counties doing ranch work. He has lived in Lubbock for the past two years.

Survivors are one sister, Mrs. R.G. Beadle of Spur; one brother, Bob Walden of Channing; and several nieces and nephews. His nephews served as pallbearers.

Burial was in the Spur Cemetery.
