U.S.Flag SPUR (Special) - Services for Emory Burl "Pug" Walden, 59, of Amarillo will be at 3 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church in Spur with the Rev. Norris Taylor, pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Spur Cemetery under direction of Campbell Funeral Home.

Walden died at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Albuquerque, NM., after a lengthy illness.

Born in Ralls, he spent most of his life in Crosby County. He married Mary Frances Atkison Oct. 25, 1946, in Lubbock.

Survivors include his wife; a brother, Leroy of Ogallala, Neb.; and a sister, Mrs. Bertie Hunt of Lubbock.

Funeral services for Emory Burl Walden, 59, were held Wednesday, at 3 p.m. in the First Baptist Church, Spur, with Rev. Norris Taylor officiating.

An Amarillo cattleman, Mr. Walden died Sunday in the VA Medical Center in Albuquerque, NM. He had resided in Crosby County most of his life. He was a veteran of WWII.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Frances Walden, Amarillo; one brother, Leroy Walden, Ogallala, Nebraska and one sister, Mrs. Bertie Hunt, Lubbock.

Burial was in Spur Cemetery.
