Joe Torres

Joe David Torres Sr., 61, passed away Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008, at a local hospital.

  Funeral: 9:30 a.m. Friday in Moore Funeral Home Chapel. Interment: 4 p.m. in Spur Cemetery in Spur. Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Moore Funeral Home Chapel, with a rosary at 7 p.m.

Joe was born March 14, 1946, in Matador to Guadalupe and Mary Torres. He was a beloved family man, husband, father, grandfather and son. Joe was a decorated Army veteran, serving in Vietnam.

Joe was preceded in death by his brother, Guadalupe Torres.

Survivors: Wife of 39 years, Aida; sons, Joe David Jr. and wife, Amy, of Justin, Stephen and wife, Becky, of Grand Prairie and Michael John and wife, Julie, of Grand Prairie; grandchildren, Anthony, Alexandria, Alyssa, Haven, Christopher and Bryce; parents, Guadalupe and Mary Torres of Arlington; brothers, Johnny Joe Sr., Inez and Daniel; sisters, Dalia, Janie, Martha, Clarise and Sylvia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
