Mrs. Lavina A. Sweet, seventy eight years and four months of age, died Wednesday morning at one o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J.P. Higgins in Spur. Funeral services were conducted at five o'clock Wednesday afternoon by Revs. Smith and Parker at the Baptist Church, interment immediately following in Spur Cemetery.

Mrs. Sweet had been making her home with Ms. Higgins, old age being the cause of death.
