Funeral services ere held for Walter Clifton Suitt, Monday, April 3 at 4 p.m. in the First Baptist Church. C. Melvin Ratheal officiated the services.

Walter Suitt was born in Desark, AR, December 2, 1882. He moved to Erath County, Texas in 1892 and married Allie Duncan at Stephenville, Texas in 1903. He later moved to Dickens County in 1921 and to Spur in 1928 where he remained until his death.

Mr. Suitt was converted a Baptist in 1906 and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Spur for some 22 years.

He is survived by his wife, Allie Suitt of Spur, 3 daughters, Mrs. Mona Marshall of Amarillo, Mrs. Ted Goodwin, of Dumont, Mrs. Walter Moore of Dumas, one son Charles of Spur, 21 brothers, I.T. of Dumont, and W.A. of Stephenville, one sister Mrs. Henry Williams of Spur, 20 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Chandler Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements. Interment was in the Spur cemetery.

Lou Allie Suitt, a life-long Texas, died Oct. 11, 1956, after a brief illness. She was buried in the Spur Cemetery on Oct. 12, the services being held in the First Baptist Church of Spur with Rev. R.L. Pendley, the pastor, officiating.

Mrs. Suitt was born on June 27, 1883 in Erath County, Texas. She was married to W.C. Suitt in Stephenville in 1903 and moved to Dickens County in 1921 where she had lived until the time of her death.

Ms. Suitt was converted in 1905 and joined the Baptist Church, of which she had been an active member throughout the years.

She is survived by three children; a son, Charles of Spur; and two daughters, Mrs. Jewell Goodwin of Croton and Nuna Marshall of Amarillo; two brothers, O.E. Duncan of Muleshoe, H.C. Duncan of Crowell; two sisters, Miss Dora Duncan and Mrs. A.J. Pickett, both of Fort Worth. She had 22 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Chandler Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
