Funeral Services Held Sunday For David SprayberryFuneral services were held Sunday, October 26, in the First Baptist Church of Spur for David Sprayberry.
Sprayberry was born June 2, 1913 in Haskell County and moved to Dickens county in 1916. He was married to Juanita Rainwater in 1930 in New Mexico.
Sprayberry died in Shattuck Hospital from a car wreck injuries received near Gates, Oklahoma.
Rev. R.D. Hill officiated.
Pallbearers were J.B. Karr, Virgil Wilson, Homer Hill, Joe Kidd, Willis Smith, and Russell Williams.
Survivors include a son, David Eugene, who is in the Marines and stationed in Norfolk, Virginia; a daughter, Mrs. Edna Marlene Vaughn, Jerome, Idaho; two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Lee Turbyfill of Kalgary and Mrs. Aldie Turbyfill of Spur; father and stepmother, Mr. And Mrs. W.D. Sprayberry of Spur.
Interment was in the Spur Cemetery under the directions of Chandler Funeral Home.
